Liza Minnelli, born March 12, 1946 in Los Angeles, is an American actress and singer. She is probably best known for the role of Sally Bowles in the musical film Cabaret, a number of songs from the movie such as "Money, money" and the theme song to the film New York, New York (which was later also recorded by Frank Sinatra). She is the daughter of singer and actress Judy Garland and the latter's second husband, film director Vincente Minnelli.
